Back to school in the Principality

This coming September 11, 2006, is the day to go back to school for the kindergardens and the secondary school. In France, it happened this past Monday, September 4, 2006. Monegasque pupils are entitled with 8 additional day compared to their neighbours. Mrs. Yvette Lambin-Berti is the Head of the Educational Department in Monaco. 5947, is the number of pupils who will start school the next week among whom 4602 are in the public sector and 1345 are in the private one. The number of teachers reaches the number of 433 dispatched in the public and private sectors of education. This year some new products were integrated in the Educational System of Monaco such as be able to learn Chinese. In addition a new section has been created entitled “Découverte Professionnelle” which allow pupils to learn and in the meantime to attend a internship to be trained, for those interested, to a potential job. For your inforamtion, the next holidays in the Principality are scheduled on October 27, 2007 that is to say only 7 weeks after the beginning of school !!
