Hobbs-Melville case
The Court in Moanco has handed down sentences in the Hobbs-Melville fraud trial. William Fogwell and his daughter Shelley, along with three employees of the Hobbs-Melville brokerage firm were accused of de-frauding some 500 clients of up to euros 140 millions from 1993 to 2000. The Court sentenced Fogwell to five years in prison and euros 500. 000 fine; his daughter, the only one present for the verdict, gets four and half years plus fine of euros 300. 000. The other three, including a former of Shelley, received prison sentences of 18 months and fines of euros 50.000 each.
